When you need a closer look

Which claims deserve a closer look?

Start with the statement you can check. A polished page does not answer who provides care or what product is offered.

No prescription needed?

Under federal law as of September 2026, dispensing prescription medicine requires an order from a licensed prescriber.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) lists dispensing without a prescription as a warning sign.

Does a research label make it suitable for treatment?

FDA guidance warns against selling research-labelled weight-drug products to people: quality is not known, and these products may harm them.

Ask the person assessing you: would this exact medicine help my health problem? A research label does not answer that question.

Does a badge or approval slogan settle it?

Describing compounded medicine as FDA-approved makes a false claim, according to FDA guidance recorded in September 2026.

Compounded means made to order.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, health sites can fake seals that look official and claims that promise money back.

The Federal Trade Commission is the government’s consumer-protection agency. Check the person and pharmacy in official records.

FDA treats a very low price as a possible warning sign; the price by itself does not prove an improper offer.
